Our Local Controller supercharger stress test

We recently deployed our Cuprous Local Controller product at a supermarket village in Tasmania. With these 400kW chargers, this site boasts to be Tasmania's fastest charging site at the time of writing. Now you just need a car that can draw that! (they are already available here in Australia)

This site is certainly our largest to-date, and so we were keen to stress test it with four hungry EVs. I captured a video of the Local Controller's user interface and overlaid it with text to explain what is going on.

Suffice to state, the tests went very well. One thing we are particularly proud of is our goal to get an EV to be offered a site's capacity from plugging in and authorising to charging in under one minute. The next time you're at a public charger, see if that's the case... It isn't easy to achieve safely, but we did it. And we realise it is important because you want to move on as soon as possible.

The site is live and is happily powering Tasmanian EVs with almost 100% renewable electricity. However, you don't have to be a supermarket to benefit from the Cuprous Local Controller. Any site with more than one EV charger will benefit from our load management that works even when the internet is down.

Here's the video. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more about our Cuprous Local Controller.
