Our progress over 12 months

It has been 12 months since our last blog post - we really must blog more often! We have been busy though...

In that 12 months, we have not only developed our Local Controller product to provide convenient charging for apartment buildings and buildings in general, but we've also had it lab-tested and certified. We are now ready to sell it in Australia.

There have been many milestones along the way; many that we could have blogged about. There's been a incredible amount of hardware design from the PCBs, processor selection, supply chain considerations, to the design of the enclosure itself. I personally had to teach myself CAD and learn about materials, manufacturing processes and how artwork can be rendered on these materials. Oh, and there is a ton of software involved in this product, which is arguably where we've spent most of our time. I'm really proud of our load manager with its sophisticated modelling of electrical networks, and our support for both OCPP v1.6J and v2.0.1. The way we bridge these protocols and normalise everything internally to v2.0.1 is fairly unique and will bring the ability for organisations to future-proof their installations.

Oh, and our Local Controller is proudly Australian made and owned - and we gained the accreditation for that too. We really can build things here and it amazed me to discover how much capability there actually is here.

So now it is time to start selling our Local Controller. Of course, the business networking has occurred throughout the year, but we're now ramping up on that activity. And we have our first installation in the next week or so followed by some trade shows where we are exhibiting. Time for the rubber to hit the road! I'll blog about how these things as they occur.
